Framli privacy policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Framli is developed by Arseni Kipachu. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the app. For privacy questions, contact kipachu_dev@outlook.com.

Images and documents stay on your device

Framli edits and processes images and documents on your device, including text recognition, QR tools, and PDF work. We do not upload your images, documents, extracted text, QR contents, or editing input to our servers, RevenueCat, PostHog, or an AI service. Processing works offline when the files you select are already available on your device. Framli does not require an app account.

The app copies imported files into its own local storage and creates new results without overwriting your originals. Imported files, results, previews, and editing settings stay locally. Device backups may include local app data according to your operating system and backup settings.

System pickers give Framli access to the files you select. Files stored only in iCloud or another provider may need to download before import. Your file provider handles that transfer. When you save or share a result, the destination you choose receives the exported file and handles it under its own privacy practices. Saving to Photos requires the relevant Photos permission. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.

Local settings and free saves

Framli stores app preferences and a record of completed saves and unlocked result identifiers locally. The iOS free allowance covers three distinct results successfully saved or shared outside the app. Saving the same unlocked result again does not use another free save. Canceled or failed exports do not use the allowance.

The allowance record is stored in the device's Keychain. It contains local result identifiers, not your image or document contents, and is not sent to RevenueCat or PostHog. Keychain records may remain after reinstalling the app. Deleting results does not reset the allowance.

Purchases and RevenueCat

Apple processes Framli Pro purchases through your Apple Account. We do not receive your payment-card number or Apple Account password.

We use RevenueCat to check Pro access, restore purchases, display offers, and understand purchase and paywall performance. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information, including product and transaction identifiers, transaction verification data, purchase dates, and renewal or expiration status. It also processes an automatically generated app-user identifier, paywall interactions, and technical context such as app and operating-system versions, store, language, locale, and currency.

We do not supply RevenueCat with your name, email address, media, filenames, file paths, document contents, or editing input. On iOS, when analytics is configured, Framli uses RevenueCat's validated anonymous app-user identifier for a pseudonymous PostHog person profile and sets RevenueCat's $posthogUserId subscriber attribute to that identifier. RevenueCat also sends subscription lifecycle events, product identifiers, prices, currencies, and gross revenue to Framli’s PostHog project. This associates app usage with purchase and subscription outcomes through the same pseudonymous identifier. Custom subscriber attributes are not shared as PostHog person properties. In browser builds, PostHog uses a random installation identifier and does not create a person profile.

RevenueCat may connect when the app starts or checks access. Purchases, restores, and loading uncached offers require an internet connection. Previously obtained Pro access may work offline according to the SDK's cached access and expiration rules. Local image and document processing does not depend on these services.

See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy for information about these providers.

Usage analytics and diagnostics

Framli uses PostHog in app builds configured for analytics. Builds without that configuration do not send analytics. We use this information to understand tool usage and improve processing and export reliability.

Events cover app launches, known screens, reopening or deleting results, and import, preview, processing, and export outcomes. Pro-related events record paywall flows, purchase and restore outcomes, export-limit encounters, and whether Pro access is active. Events can also include an approved tool or screen category, import source or export destination, file count, image format, output size, elapsed time, platform, a known error category, and a random operation identifier. Framli filters these fields against a fixed allowlist. Events do not include media, filenames, file paths, local result identifiers, document or QR text, search or editing values, or raw error messages.

Browser builds use a random installation identifier stored locally and do not create PostHog person profiles. On iOS, when analytics is configured, Framli may use the validated RevenueCat anonymous app-user identifier for a pseudonymous PostHog person profile and set it as RevenueCat's $posthogUserId subscriber attribute. Analytics may also include random device, session, and operation identifiers and event times. These identifiers can connect events from the same installation or session. Framli does not send names, email addresses, advertising identifiers, Apple Account details, or account login information to PostHog or RevenueCat.

PostHog also receives structured logs of these events and sanitized reports of errors the app handles. Automatic crash reporting, automatic interaction capture, and session recording are disabled. GeoIP enrichment is disabled, and the PostHog project is configured to drop client IP addresses. Framli does not request location permission for analytics.

Analytics delivery uses the internet when available and never blocks local processing. Framli does not use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising. See PostHog's privacy policy for information about that provider.

Support and this website

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot. You do not need to send your images or documents to request help. Please avoid sending sensitive content or another person's information without permission.

Opening this page uses your browser and an internet connection. The website's hosting provider receives the request information needed to serve the page. Your local images and documents are not included in that request.

Use, retention, and your choices

Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, and our email provider process the information needed for their respective services. They may process information outside your country. We use purchase, usage, diagnostic, and support information for the purposes described above and retain it as needed for those purposes, security, and legal obligations. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to investigate misuse or protect legal rights. We do not sell your personal information.

You can delete saved results from Recent. Copies exported to Photos, Files, or other destinations must be deleted there separately. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription or necessarily remove Keychain records, backups, or information already held by service providers.

Use Restore purchases in Framli's Settings to restore access. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings. See Framli support for help.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Email kipachu_dev@outlook.com to make a request. We may need limited information to verify your request and locate relevant records. Because Framli has no app account, an email address alone may not identify purchase or analytics records. Never send your Apple Account password or full payment details. Some transaction or legally required records may need to be retained.

Changes

We will update this page and its date if Framli's data practices change.
